Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun even though Tucker was sick with a cough and stayed home from school, we still let him trick or treat around the neighborhood and wear his costume all day. He coughed all day straight, until it was time for trick or treating (prayers are answered even about little things). Strawberry Shortcake didn't want to leave her hat on of course, and Brett made a very handsome cowboy (which made up for him coming home with brand new boots:D) . Clay liked his costumed so much he has decided he wants to be a fireman when he grows up. I was a witch, and didn't realize we didn't get a picture until just now :(. You can also se Jack and Boston in a couple of these pictures. Jack was a very cute wookie (almost as cute as his Princess Leiha mommy). Thanks to everyone who braved the illness and came over on Halloween, it made us all feel better :).

Boys

The first picture this post is of Tucker's spot you can find him in after lunch nearly every day reading his "Jack and Annie" books. And the other night I came into the kitchen to discover Tucker palying with ice on the floor. As soon as I said, "Clean up the ice!" He said, "Come look first!" Boy am I glad I did go look before getting upset with him. :) Laundry is always an adventure. I usually get at least one thing in the bottom of the washer (maybe I should go through pockets better ), but this time I got THREE!! Wow lucky me, Tucker's dollar, Clay's fruit roll-up, and Brett's screwdriver (he fessed up before the bloys got blames :D).

Tucker and Clay Practice Their Moves

Brett got musical cards in the mail last week from his parents and brother and the kids LOVED them. They were dancing around and in this video they are listening to both at the same time. They were dancing like crazy people and it was hilarious when Tuck broke into some super cool robot moves :).

Happy Birthday to the Love of my Life!

For Brett's birthday we went and rode the tram at Snowbird to Hidden Peak. I was a little bit nervous about riding it and keeping the boys from jumping/falling off a cliff at the top, but it was really cool and they liked it. We topped it off with dinner at the Mayan - holy cow, those divers are insane! The kids loved it and the food was great. Oh yeah, and Brett you are really old now!! The tram ride has nothing on e-braking in logan with you so I don't know why I was worried. I love you babe!

Climbing Day

Luka has days where she just decides it is a good day for climbing. She regularly climbs evrything, but some days she pushes herself a little. We keep all of the table chairs pushed in so she won't climb on the table any more but it didn't stop her from pushing it out, climbing up and tilting it to the high chair, and then scaling the tilted chair to the the high chair tray (I'm just assuming because that is how I found her in the picture when I walked into the kitchen). Later that day she decided she wanted to help Tucker with his homework I guess because she scaled a barstool chair at the counter and climbed up to do it (once again I'm only assuming because this is how I found her on the counter after Clay yelled, "Mom Luka's on the counter!" -she's what? All of the drawers have child latches now so she must have climbed the stool, tilted it to the counter and then it fell back after she climbed over -I don't know). Anyone know how to contact FCA(Future Climbers of America)?

Fall Leaves

We had a fun trip up the canyon so I could see the fall leaves and the boys could play in them. They were so cute. Tucker kept saying that the leaves were so beautiful :), and Clay brought home a whole hoodie pocket full of them. Luka loved being able to roam around and explore. Tucker and Clay piled leaves on the car and Tucker said now it was an "Autumn-mobile." (Only Tucker would come up with a pun like that) The boys picked some wild flowers for me (one of the joys of being a mother to little boys) and I took a picture of my favorite leaf that I found, even though I wished I could bring home a sack full to dump on my front porch. Fall just seems to blow new life into me. The world becomes so amazingly beautiful for a few weeks. It's like an early Christmas present from God. Somehow it always makes me want to buy an old farmhouse with views of mountains and fields of wheat. Watch my corn pop up in rows -ya know? :)

Visiting Ananda

Luka and I went to visit Ananda last week. It was fun to see Luka get so excited about the ducks. I felt really old though watching all the BYU students walkng around us. It was very obvious that I was older than all of them.

Sigh...

So as I was getting Luka's bottle for bed tonight, she took to her favorite past time (as you can probably tell from the pictures) and climbed up on the oven drawer. Except this time, while I had my back turned, she managed to open the second drawer up next to the oven and climb in . "Here Mom, do you need a dishcloth?" "No? How about a banana?" I really REALLY hoped that she would be my calm quiet child (and she is a very good baby) but she is crazy! She spends her entire day trying to climb EVERYTHING. She has a real talent for it. It helps to be fast, determined and reckless (a trait she seems to share with her big brother). So really -sigh... what's a mother to do?

Luka Climbs Again

Sorry it is turned sideways. Apparently I'm not smart enough to figure out how to rotate a video. But Luka is climbing everything! It is all she wants to do all day. She figured out that she could climb onto the chairs today and I assume it is only a matter of time before she ends up on the table. I guess we're going to have to tie all the chair legs together again like we did with Clay. I still don't know how to keep her off of the fireplace. And she's always so proud of herself!

Luka's First Birthday

A party, gifts, and cake -what more could a girl want?
