Picnic in the Park

It's the Lehi Roundup! "Yee Haw!" as Brett would say (love ya hon). We went to the Picnic and Music in the park and the kids, although first bored with the music, quickly disocvered what generations of kids have -that even grass is fun. Luka has just picked up another word, or phrase actually. I didn't realize how much I say, "There you go" to her until she started repeating it back to me the other day. She must have seen how delighted I was when she says it because she just repeats it all the time now. I do say it a lot I've realized- when I give her something, when she grabs something, when I get her out of her chair or seat etc. But it is just funny to me that it would be her next words of choice to say. I suppose it shouldn't be that funny since Tucker's first and second words were 'button' and 'light.' I love summertime with my kids!

Best Friends

I worry about Luka feeling left out because she doesn't have a sister but for now she has a buddy she loves to talk to - she just has to crawl over to the oven. She just stares and stares at herself. The boys had a lot of fun at a primary carnival and won silly glasses. They also had their faces painted. Tucker wanted to be a pirate. And what did Clay want on his cheek? -what every little boy wants, a butterly. :)

We finally, finally got sod today. We did the front yard and had little left over so we have a silly little strip of it out back too. Hooray for grass!

The Adventures of Lukie Lu

Luka LOVES the piano. She stands and, as you can see, plays with both hands. This scares me to death, but it is so cute. She is only 9 months and really doesn't stand up that well yet, but if you sit her down, she just yells at you and crawls over to stand up again. The cutest part is that she sings too, "Ahhhh Ahhh ." Then when her arms get tired she whimpers for help to get back down. She's a crack up.

A Sister's Love

Luka adores her brothers. When they leave the room she follows. When they leave the house this is what happens. She has to resort to watching out the window. :)

Secret Garden

We got a pass to Thanksgiving Point and I didn't know if the boys would enjoy going to the gardens more than once, but each time we go they find something new to be excited about. This time they played airplanes through the rose garden- hilarious. So romantic, wait what's that? Eeerrrrroo Airreeeeerrrooo. Little boy dive bombers. They loved the secret garden (who doesn't). Tuck decided it was the perfect place for climbing. Unfortunately once he realized he was busted he started to get down so I didn't get a good picture. Clay sat down on the grass by the flowers and columns and said, "Take my picture by the pretty flowers." Wait, he's holding still voluntarily!? Take that picture! And of course they loved the fish. I loved hanging out with them. Of course Tucker says his favorite part was watching the planes and helicopters fly over. :) Boys rock!

My Tucker

Tucker will always be special to me as my oldest, but does he have to make me feel so gosh darn old? :) I was just noticing in our new family photo standing on the front porch, he is catching me in height very quickly. He is only 5! We recently took him to the Doctors and after his measurements Doctor Wilcox told me that he was off the charts - ya, ya he always is. But then he put it in perspective for me when he said that he is the size of the average 7 year old. Most 7 year olds are his size. It is so hard for your little kids to grow up and not be babies anymore. But I think it is even harder when your little ones grow so very fast! At this rate he'll be taller than me before he gets baptized! Wait, get's baptized? That can't be only 2 1/2 years away! Wow. I sure love you Tuck!
